What’s new in 1.0
The short version: the light table is rebuilt as one native Cinema 4D table. It is faster, reads the scene live, and behaves like Cinema’s own managers — and RS Light Manager is now available on aescripts.com.
One table for every tab
Section titled “One table for every tab”- Compact, Standard, Advanced and Texture are now views of one table. Switching tabs only changes the columns. See Tabs & columns.
- Search, Group by (type, layer, light group or take) and Row colour work on every tab. See Search, grouping & solo.
- Solo any light, or several, from the table.
Faster editing
Section titled “Faster editing”- Type values in place: right-click or double-click any slider. See Editing values.
- Ctrl+click any value to reset it, or right-click a slider’s left edge for Reset and Reset All (this light).
- Columns… on every tab: choose exactly which columns each tab shows.
Keyframes and takes
Section titled “Keyframes and takes”- Key diamonds on every slider and colour, as in the Attribute Manager — including values driven by an RS Light Material. See Keyframes & takes.
- Take overrides from the table, with overridden values shown in blue, and Group by Take to see what each take changes.
Colour
Section titled “Colour”- Colour temperature presets, from Candle to Blue Sky, as a dropdown — or a slider, if you prefer (Preferences). See Colour & temperature.
Textures and AOVs
Section titled “Textures and AOVs”- Texture cells styled as Cinema’s own file field, with Asset Browser and folder buttons. See Textures & environments.
- Light Group AOV output settings: name and path templates, and EXR compression for direct output. See Light Group AOVs.
Now on aescripts
Section titled “Now on aescripts”RS Light Manager is now sold through aescripts + aeplugins, with a 14-day trial. Gumroad licences keep working as before. See Licensing & support.
